#Listen for Syria – Let’s hear them all!12 / 03 /2015
On 15th of March 2015 it will be 4 years since the outbreak of civil war in Syria. In the areas affected by the conflict Polish Humanitarian Organization (PAH) is conducting aid projects and has
helped over 640 000 people.
The war has forced nearly 8 million people to leave their homes in search of refuge in their own country. Almost 4 million of them are children. Currently, they live in the areas affected by the war, forgotten by the international community. Their everyday life is focused on struggle for survival.
At the same time, there are 4 million songs on Spotify, which no one has ever heard. In cooperation with Forgotify (a platform that collects those songs) we created the first in the world platform, where you can h elp those forgotten by the world by listening to the forgotten songs. You only have to visit the website, then declare any amount of money and simply unlock the track which no one has ever listen before. This son g will receive a new life. Thus collected founds PAH will allocate to provide flour to the Syrian bakeries.
It cost only 6 EUR to buy 30kg of flour in order to demand for bread for 100 people. PAH needs to buy 25 tons in order to be able to transport flour to Syria. Thus local bakeries will be able to produce bread, acc ess to which has 75 000 people through the month.
The campaign is supported by representatives of the Polish music scene, opinion leaders and bloggers.
